Carrot Poriyal Baked Puffs

ingredients to make

150 grams carrots

1 tbsp moong dal

1 tbsp urad dal

3 tbsp coconut (fresh, grated)

1 tsp mustard seeds

2 red chilies

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp turmeric seeds

5-10 curry leaves

salt to taste

for flour

Black wheat flour – 250 grams

olive oil – 30 ml

Water – 100-120 ml

Salt – 1 tsp

how to make

Cut carrots and soak moong dal and urad dal.

Heat some oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and soaked lentils to it.

Fry the dal while stirring continuously till it turns golden brown.

Add curry leaves, chopped carrots and red chillies and fry for 2 minutes, add water.

Cover the pan and cook till all the water dries up.

Add grated coconut and fry for two minutes, keep it aside to cool.

To knead the dough, add olive oil to the flour and mix well. Knead a soft dough by adding water.

Preheat the oven at 180 degrees. Roll out the dough and shape it into a 6-inch gujiya.

Put poriyal in it.

Brush it lightly with olive oil and bake for 15-20 minutes. Serve with carrot chutney for Iftar.

Mango Salsa

This Mango Salsa is made with sweet, ripe mango, red onion, jalapeno, coriander and lime. It has a great sweet and spicy flavor that works well with your favorite food, nachos, meal bowls or tortilla chips!.

ingredients to make

1 mango – peeled and chopped

¼ cup finely chopped red capsicum

¼ cup finely chopped onion

1 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeno or green chili

2 tbsp chopped coriander

2 tbsp lime juice

sugar to taste

salt to taste

how to make

mix all the ingredients.

Cover and keep it for 30 minutes.

Refrigerate before serving.

Banta Soda Shikanji

ingredients to make

3 sprigs of mint

4 lemons

2 teaspoons honey

plain water to mix

how to make

Add plain water, honey in a mixing bowl and mix.

Now mash the mint leaves and put them in the bowl.

Squeeze in lemon.

Pour the contents into a tall glass, pour sparkling water over it.

Garnish with mint leaves and enjoy.
